Strategy Guide

The ‘Tip of the Iceberg’ Water & Air Deck is for advanced players seeking high-level strategy. With a challenge rating of 3, it’s tough and brittle like ice. Instead of stages, players unlock strategies over time, requiring flexibility to switch tactics. Let’s explore the deck’s guiding principles before diving into strategies.

• Any Kaiju played becomes a Joule card for your opponent.
• Less is more—like icebergs, only reveal a bit.
• Having 3 Kaiju limits strategy shifts.
• Some Kaiju belong off the field.
• Patience pays; choose the best moves.
• More cards in hand mean more options and insight.
• Attack early, often, and hard to disrupt your opponent's Joule collection.
• Maximize momentum with the Snowball effect.

The Tip of the Iceberg deck has a unique learning curve, needing deep card knowledge and adaptability to risks. All strategies have their moments. This guide helps start, but gameplay is the best teacher

Igligrizz (Frigid Swipe - Active) (Primary)
• Its Active [Frigid Swipe] is the only ‘Igligrizz’ Active without a cost, however it only targets the enemy Kaiju in Primary.
• Its Passive [Glacial Tine] Prevents enemy Kaiju from attacking without a price

#1 Igligrizz & Igligrizz - Frigid Swipe & Glacial Tine

Tempurr (Deep Freeze - Passive) (Support)
• Its Passive [Deep Freeze] Allows it to give 2e per turn to Igligrizz, mitigating some of the damage it takes when attacking. Use [Deep Freeze] quickly to prepare your Igligrizz for a harsh winter or save it for strategy #4

Igligrizz (Glacial Tine - Passive) (Support)
• Its Passive [Glacial Tine] allows it to guard the Support position while it adds another level of damage if the enemy attacking Kaiju affects multiple Kaiju in play
• If using a second [Frigid Swipe] ‘Igligrizz,’ you’ll be prepared for this strategy once more, while also utilizing [Hibernate] to regenerate e when the enemy attacking Kaiju is frozen
• If using [Whiteout] & [Glacial Tine] ‘Igligrizz,’ you can quickly shift to strategy #3

Cubsorb (Absorb - Passive) (Primary)
• Its Passive [Absorb] Allows for increasing e each turn when resting Liquid Water Kaiju from your hand.
• With ‘Raining Cats & Dogs,’ coming up with Liquid Water Kaiju should be a breeze
• Always rest ‘Dendrops’ with [Hibernate] for this purpose as Igligrizz in Support may help.
• It’s Active [Soak] Allows for all the e it receives to unleash torrential floods on enemy Kaiju in Primary, at a cost.
• Any Liquid Water Kaiju not found in this guide is meant to be used for this resource.

• When at the end of its energy for the last time, ‘Cubsorb’ may quickly ascend to a ‘Cubberg’ to buy some time

#2 Cubsorb & Igligrizz - Absorb & Awakening Roar

Igligrizz (Awakening Roar - Passive) (Support)
• Its Passive [Awakening Roar] allows it recover all Kaiju with the Passive [Hibernate] back from the rest pile to your hand when attacked. If attacked while in Support each turn, it can mean wonders for the ‘Cubsorb’ in Primary.
• Once ‘Cubsorb’ is rested, ‘Igligrizz’ can expend its own e with [Whiteout], allowing the for next strategy to begin quickly while doing some damage

Cameliq (Reservoir - Support) (Support)
• Meant to only be used in a pinch or when you are Joules ahead, its Support [Reservoir] allows it to give up to 9e to the [Absorb]ing ‘Cubsorb’ in Primary

Igligrizz (Rime Coat - Passive) (Primary)
• Always ascended from [Flow State] Dendrop (this is important because other Dendrops inhibit other strategies)
• Allows for the option of either:
[Rime Coat]’s prevention of (large) attacks against Igligrizz while it uses Active abilities or…
[Glacial Tine]’s defensive damage against an attack
• Its Active [Whiteout] not only controls against Support abilities, but it attacks all 3 enemy Kaiju in play. Coupled with ‘Snowball Effect,’ [Whiteout] can be devastating.
• Igligrizz takes damage each time it attacks which is why Tempurr is critical to this strategy

#3 Igligrizz & Tempurr - Rime Coat & Deep Freeze

Tempurr (Deep Freeze - Passive) (Support)
• Its Passive [Deep Freeze] Allows it to give 2e per turn to Igligrizz, mitigating some of the damage it takes when attacking or…
• Its Passive [Air Condition] Allows it a coin flip opportunity to Ascend to ‘Purrcush’ in Support if attacked, bringing about another strategy

Tempurr (Air Condition - Passive) (Primary)
• Only to be used if ‘Purrcush’ is in your hand, this strategy is the most difficult to procure while also the most rewarding
• If attacked, [Air Condition] allows ‘Tempurr’ a coin flip opportunity to Ascend to Purrcush - the highest attacker in the deck with 4/4/4 and the ability to switch the positions of all enemy Kaiju, only to have a coin flip opportunity to Descend once again

#4 Tempurr & Tempurr - Air Condition & Air Condition

Tempurr (Air Condition - Passive) (Support)
• Having 2 ‘Tempurr’ in play ensures the rewarding opportunity of freezing your opponent in their tracks in style
